Disney's Osbourne Lights

My brother, Stuart, told me he was going to take
me to see the Osbourne Lights at Disney this year.
He has a friend that works there and got us in free.
I did not know it is the last year for this exhibit so I'm
really glad I got to go.  My Mom and Sister have passes
so they met us out there.  It was a beautiful evening!

Cool enough to wear a light jacket which
made it seem more "Christmassy".

Every time I go to Disney at Christmas
I want to get a gingerbread cookie.
I baked a bunch and brought them with
me because $5-$10 for a cookie is crazy.
I've never made gingerbread cookies before.
They were yummy, delicious!
Above is the tree when you enter Hollywood Studios.
Below is the main street when you enter the park.
One of the windows on main street.
I've always liked the art deco buildings.
Another window on Main Street, actually I think it's called
Hollywood blvd.

 The beginning of Osbourne Lights.

The lights are set to different songs.
They flash off and on with the music.
So many lights!

It was a snowstorm at 60 degrees outside

Leaving the park.  It was
a fun night!

Thanks Stuart and friend
Andy who got us into
the park.

Tuesday

I read this the other day and felt I should share; from

The Grace of Christmas

In the face of pessimistic appraisals that we have nothing going for us anymore, Christmas says that we have everything going----Jesus, the journey, and the dream.  Richard Rohr says, “The Christian never loses, because he has nothing to lose.”

My brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, if you have been struck by the grace of Christmas, if the Lord in His mercy has given you the courage to accept acceptance, if you are convicted that Christmas is the decisive breakthrough of the passionate love of God in Jesus, if you trust that God is faithful to His promises, that He will finish what He began, that amazin’ grace is at work right now, that you have only checked into the hotel of earth overnight and you are en route to the heavenly Jerusalem, then in the immortal words of John Powell, “Please notify your face!”

On the other hand, if you have not been struck by the grace of Christmas, ask for it and it will be given…

“In that day you will no longer ask me anything.  I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in My name.”  John 16:23

Friday

catching up

We got to visit with my nephew Brian and his beautiful
wife Julianna.  They are so sweet and so cute!  I wish I
could have spent more time with them!

I had my 6 month scans and
my once a year rod checkup.
I still find it hard to believe this
thing is in my leg.  Scans
showed some new stuff on bones
but my Dr. doesn't want to
change any treatment for right now
so must not be too bad.  I think
all the new stuff is small.
But I agree with Dr. on no treatment changes
so I'm happy.

This guys been visiting us a lot.
I hope he doesn't think Minion looks delicious.

 Thanksgiving

at Stuart's
 We were all pretty stuffed.

 Even Minion

We also celebrated Corey's birthday with the family.
We always celebrate with her when it's her birthday
but usually with the rest of the family on Thanksgiving.
It is one of her favorite holidays.

Packing up all the leftovers to take home.
So - many - leftovers!
 Me with my pretty baby!

Mom got new floors.  They look really nice!

Now I'm sort of caught up.
Have to put the decorated house photos up next.
