Saturday

Winter Park Art Festival and birthday dinner

I went to the art festival with Corey and Jill. Really enjoyed it. Went to Panera and got breakfast. Saw a guy with a bunny on a leash. He had it really well trained - so cute.

I've never been when it was this crowded.

ran into Mikey, twice

JESSE and Corey came over Saturday for Chuck's birthday dinner (tho its not till wed). We had steak yum. Today was the only day Corey and JESSE could both come over. I got him a little cake since we shouldn't be eating sugar. Poor Chuck had to cook his own steak but it was really good.

Sunday

Meghan got married

Went to Meghan and Kyle's wedding today. Very pretty, Meghan was beautiful, loved the setting outside. I pray God will bless their marriage.

Background page for art journal

I didn't make it to 3 finished pieces but I did get a background page for an art journal done.

Looking for direction

I've decided to try to do at least 3 pieces per week just to figure out which direction I want to go. Do I want to paint, draw, sculpt, collage, too many choices.
But I think the ultimate outcome is to make money so I'm not stuck at my current job forever. So here's my 1st piece for the week a watercolor.

Friday

bike ride and birds

Last weekend we went for a long bike ride an hour and a half. Long for me.
But I made my goal and we made it to the bridge, yay! Got good cardinal pictures.
It was fun.
The cranes I pass at work. The baby's so cute.

Wednesday

bummer days

Let's start with Saturday, doing the taxes and finding out we owe big time. Tuesday, middle school kids cut my seats - having to deal with parents, students, administrators and managers and yet nothing will probably be done. High school kids making out on the bus, and a kid throwing something out of the window, that was today. What I really hate is when you know a kid does something and then lies to your face, arrgh.
Well tomorrow's another day. Hopefully better.

Sunday

working

working on something while I recuperate from bad pizza that tasted really good. Maybe I don't get along with milk and wheat, beginning to wonder.

Saturday

Art show at Lake Eola

Glad we went. I got some ideas. Heard some good music. Fun day. Very cryptic writing. And Chuck was the photographer today.

Tuesday

Valentine's

Chuck and I spent Saturday seeing a movie he wanted to see, going to lunch and then to Borders. That was our Valentine's Day which I enjoyed very much. Sunday is his sports day, the Daytona 500, and my chance to visit mom and dad.
Jesse came over Friday bringing me these cute roses and my favorite Starbucks coffee, very sweet of her.
Poor Corey's been very sick but we get to see her tonight yay!

Sunday

shoes

What do shoes say? We went out to eat and had to wait and while waiting I like to "observe". First a family was sitting beside us, two little girls with little black flats. One kept taking hers off and wiggling her toes. She was comfortable with who she was with and happy to be there reading her book. Her sister talking constantly to her mom about this or that school thing. Good family interaction.
They were called another family sat down. Mom with nails over 200$ a month to maintain and shoes probably around the same price. She was too busy on her I phone doing who knows what to bother with her kids. Her little girl also dressed very expensively, so cute and hyper, not wanting to stay still but wanting attention.
A very, ummm, up to date but out of touch with each other.
And me, with my boots I've wanted since the 70's quietly watching. Hmmm.. I just like to look at shoes and people watch.

Saturday

we were supposed to go to the Mt. Dora art festival but

I got sick overnight. You know the icky kind, tummy troubles. So I slept till 11. Something I just don't do. By the afternoon we were going a little nuts and needed to get out if only for a short time. We decided to take the dogs downtown to the trail and walk a little. It was a gorgeous day but I just couldn't go far but what we did was nice.
The dogs certainly seemed to enjoy it. Elsie found a hole in a tree and apparantly some sort of animal lived in it. She really wanted to get whatever it was but she could only fit so far into the hole.
Even though it was short the dogs seemed worn out from it.

Friday

Reading Get Out of That Pit by Beth Moore

..for the 2nd time and hopefully she wouldn't get mad at me putting this on my blog because I hope, like me, it might make some sort of difference to someone.

What if you woke up today from the autopilot of poor decisions.
What if before the bottom fell out, you would respond to a voice in the
wilderness saying, "Stop It!"
Isaiah 1:16 "Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
Cease to do evil. 17-Learn to do good:
Seek justice...
and what if that One Voice- the Only One that matters - was willing to tell you how to stop.

That could happen. In fact, if we were willing to let it, it would happen. God in His tender mercy gives us plenty of warnings enabling us to avoid pits, but the problem with us pit jumpers we don't want to hear - we want what we want.

Motive is huge to God. So is character. Primarily His character, which we are created to emulate.

AND HE WILL NOT BE MOCKED.
We cannot fool Him by hiding our inner motive. God looks intently Not only at what we've done but why and how.

Sunday

2 Sundays

Last Sunday we went to Mom and Dad's for lunch, played cards and went for a bike ride. Then this weekend, work, work, work and now hurt.

today, knock down the fence, dig a hole, and fix it. So much fun and I'm sore all over.

yay for mac

As I learn this computer I'm really starting to like it!!!!!!!

Friday

as done as it will get for now

I want to be able to use this room so I kind of dumped some of the little stuff and haven't cleaned out drawers but will eventually. Right now I just want it to be usable and I can't wait to use my new desk with the built in light table.

Today I was off and there were lots of fun things I really wanted to do but the house has been so unloved it needed my time. But.. next time I have an extra day off I'm planning something fun!!!

Wednesday

so much to do so little time

trying to plan all the things I need to do, want to do, and trying to figure out how....

Tuesday

this is ?

Last year I had a kid on my bus, high school, snort crack or coke something illegal. I was told, by the school authorities, it was all supposition since my camera wasn't working. He'd been put on my bus because another lady driver was afraid of him. After it happened I made him sit up front where I could see him and occasionally talk to him. I tried to talk to him about staying in school and doing something with his life.
But as things go he dropped out of school and his girlfriend got pregnant. I saw him today walking down the street with his girlfriend and his baby boy. He walks out into the street waving his arms when he saw my bus coming. I said, "hi how are you? I heard you had a baby congratulations." He said, "thanks, yeah that's my kid." He smiles and says, "you can't make me sit up front anymore!" He laughs and walks away. I yell at him to "BE GOOD!" He waves. I thought this kid was an angry kid but he seemed to want to talk to me, so go figure.
