The next day....our brake shoes were frozen to the drums. We had to wait till the sun hit them and Chuck banged on them with a hammer. Our lack of experience in this weather being Floridians and all. You don't leave your trailer brakes on in that weather. We had a couple of truckers making fun of us as they passed. Oh well, one we'll never forget. It sure was pretty. The road was very small and sometimes hard to see and very icy but it sure was pretty.
Oh!!! and congratulations grandma Tricia!!!!!

What can I say? Snow Day!!!! It got progressively worse. We had to stop. more than once, to get the ice off the windshield wipers so we could see. I say we, no way was I going to try and do that, thanks Chuck. We are currently snowed in.
We were able to make it to a small town and are parked across the street from a cafe.
It's so bad trucks are parked on the road. It sure is pretty though...

Wow, these red trees just really stood out. In the state of PA
Some pictures from Memphis. Did you know there is an east Memphis in TN and a west Memphis in Arkansas? Does anyone know what the pyramid is?
There's one of these in north Texas saying it's the biggest cross in the U.S. but this one's the same size. I can't remember what state it's in, guessing Illinois.

We've been a lot of places this time mostly in the east until the last couple of days. We went to Arkansas, a surprisingly pretty state, Missouri, Kansas, Mississippi, and now back on our way east. We had to spend a couple of days in Charlotte NC for more training and testing, fun, fun. But we did get to spend the nite in a motel, nice break from little tiny truck space, which isn't really all that small just seems that way after a couple of weeks.
I'm so happy we get to be home for Corey's birthday next week, yippee!!!
This is a picture outside of our hotel in Charlotte NC, it's 4 pictures merged together - the reason for changes in sky color.

Drivers and their dogs..very sweet man, very proud of his 6 month old puppies "with papers" as he said.

The end of a journey and beginning of forever...
This is a difficult post.
Hannah Pratt went to heaven Friday October 13, 2006. She
had a difficult and painful journey on earth with her cystic fibrosis.
Everyone thought the lung transplant was the answer to everything for her.
In a way it was.. She is home now..home. No more pain for Hannah. No more
difficulty breathing. No more longing for more...she now has everything..she
is now with her heavenly Father who loves her more than is possible to comprehend.
She breathes deeply the sweetest air - we cannot imagine. She looks into the face
of the lover of her soul and is full of joy... and she sings...beautifully...painlessly...she breathes deeply and sings...
I look forward to hearing her.
We love you Hannah and are so grateful to God for the time we had with you and we're looking forward to "meeting again".

I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:1-4
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18
